Inflatable Restraint Vehicle Rollover Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to SIR Warning (SIR Warning).

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).




2. Fold back the carpet in order to gain access to the sensor. Refer to Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Removal and Replacement).
3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
4. Remove the nuts securing the rollover sensor to the floor panel.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the nuts securing the rollover sensor to the floor panel.

Tighten the screws to 10 Nm (88 lb in).

2. Connect the electrical connectors.
3. Install the carpet. Refer to Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Removal and Replacement).
4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
