Body Side Window Replacement

Removal Procedure

The latched side window is a one-piece assembly that includes the following components:

* The window
* The hinges
* The latch assembly




Warning: Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Warning (Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Warning).

1. Remove the screws that retain the latch to the vehicle.
2. Remove the nuts (3) that retain the hinge to the vehicle.
3. Remove the window assembly from the vehicle.
Do not replace the weatherstrip (2) unless the weatherstrip is damaged.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the window assembly to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the nuts (3) that retain the hinge to the vehicle and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
3. Install the screws that retain the latch to the vehicle and tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb in).
