Performance Test

PERFORMANCE TEST OF COMPRESSOR

Performance test of the repaired compressor is made by installing the compressor on the vehicle and checking the pressure measurements made with gage manifold while operating the air conditioning system. On the method for mounting the gage manifold, refer to the evacuating procedures.

NORMAL OPERATION

Measure the pressures with the suction port air temperature at around 30° to 35°C (85° to 95°F), engine speed at 2,000 rpm, and at strongest cooling setting.

Standard Pressures

Low Pressure Side: 1.5 - 2.0 kg/sq. cm (21.3 - 28.4 psi)

High Pressure Side: 14.5 - 15 kg/sq. cm (206 - 213 psi)
