Shift Interlock Cable: Adjustments

Fig. 8 Interlock Cable Adjustment:

1. Shift selector lever to Park.
2. Loosen nuts (A) and (B) as shown in Fig. 8
3. With outer wire pulled forward so that there is no deflection on inner wire, tighten nut (A), then nut (B) hand-tight.
4. Tighten nuts (A) and (B) again, then check the following:
a. With selector lever in Park, ensure ignition key can be turned from ``ACC'' to ``LOCK '' position and removed from ignition switch.
b. With selector lever shifted in any drive range other than Park, ignition key cannot be turned from Acc to Lock position.
