Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL:

1. Remove the battery negative (-) cable.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition coil.
3. Remove the ignition coil wire from the coil by gripping the boot firmly. Turn the boot one half turn while removing the wire.
4. Remove coil mounting bracket (2 screws).

INSTALLATION:

1. Install coil to mounting bracket. Tighten the two screws to secure.
2. Install ignition coil wire to coil.
3. Connect the electrical connector to the ignition coil.
4. Connect negative (-) battery cable.
