Blower Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove glove box.
3. On vehicles equipped with heat only, remove retainer clip from each end of heater duct and remove duct, Fig. 2. On vehicles equipped with A/C, remove blower assembly to evaporator housing sealing band.
4. Remove three blower mounting blots, Fig. 2, then turn blower assembly on right side and rest assembly on floor.
5. On Civic and Prelude disconnect control cable, Fig. 2.
6. Disconnect harness connectors from blower assembly.
7. Reverse procedure to install, ensuring that both ends of heater duct fit over blower assembly and heater flanges completely.
