Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Discharge refrigerant from system.
3. Disconnect receiver hose from sight glass, then disconnect discharge line from condenser and cap all openings.
4. Disconnect low pressure switch leads.
5. Remove two radiator mount bolts, then pull radiator back toward engine, Fig. 7.
6. Remove two bolts holding condenser to bulkhead, Fig. 7.
7. Pull condenser, with receiver attached, up and out of grooves in rubber mount blocks, then lift it out from between bulkhead and radiator.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Use new O-rings lubricated with refrigerant oil.
9. Leak test, evacuate and charge system.
