Removal and Installation
Blower Unit Removal and InstallationSRS components are located in this area Review the SRS component locations, precautions, and procedures in the SRS section before performing repairs or service.
1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio and the navigation system, then write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
3. Remove the evaporator.
4. Remove the front passenger's airbag.
5. Disconnect the connectors (A) from the blower motor, the blower resister and the recirculation control motor, then remove the wire harness clips (B). Remove the mounting nuts, the mounting bolt and the blower unit (C).
6. Install the unit in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure that there is no air leakage.
- For evaporator and A/C-related information, refer to evaporator removal and installation.
- Do the PCM idle learn procedure.
- Do the power window control unit resetting procedure.
- Enter the anti-theft code for the radio and the navigation system, then enter the customer's radio station presents.
