Crankshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

CKP Pattern Clear/Learn

NOTE: The ECT needs to be at 176 °F (80 °C) or higher.

1. Clear the CKP pattern with the HDS while the engine is stopped.

2. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and wait 30 seconds.

4. Select CRANK PATTERN in the ADJUSTMENT MENU on the HDS.

5. Select CRANK PATTERN LEARNING and follow the procedure showed on the screen.

6. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

7. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and wait 30 seconds.

The CKP learning procedure is completed.
