RES disc does not eject
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- If you press and hold the VOLUME/POWER () knob for at least 2 seconds, the audio-navigation unit or the audio unit automatically exits the anti-theft mode. If the unit does not exit the anti-theft mode, go to Audio unit does not exit anti-theft mode troubleshooting; with navigation Audio Unit Does Not Exit Anti-Theft Mode (With Navigation), without navigation Audio Unit Does Not Exit Anti-Theft Mode (Without Navigation).
- Discs with labels should not be used in the DVD player (built into the audio-navigation unit or the audio unit). They may damage the player mechanism.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Try ejecting the disc.
Does the disc eject?
YES -
Intermittent failure, the DVD player (built into the audio-navigation unit or audio unit) is OK at this time.
NO -
Go to step 3.
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
4. Remove the No. B15 (20 A) fuse from the under-hood fuse/relay box for 2 minutes.
5. Reinstall the fuse.
6. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
7. Press and hold the VOLUME/POWER () knob for at least 2 seconds. The audio-navigation unit or the audio unit automatically exits the anti-theft mode.
8. Try ejecting the disc.
Does the disc eject?
YES -
Intermittent failure. If the problem reoccurs, replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation or audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation.
NO -
- With navigation, substitute a known-good audio-navigation unit (including the HDD) Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation.
- Without navigation, substitute a known-good audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation.
