Navigation cannot control audio system
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- If you press and hold the VOLUME/POWER () knob for at least 2 seconds, the audio-navigation unit automatically exits the anti-theft mode. If the unit does not exit the anti-theft mode, go to Audio unit does not exit anti-theft mode troubleshooting Audio Unit Does Not Exit Anti-Theft Mode (With Navigation).
- Verify that the correct navigation unit is installed for this model. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and use the Version.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II). Make sure the anti-theft mode is released.
2. Turn on the audio system, and check for sound in each mode (AM/FM and CD).
Is the sound normal?
YES -
Go to step 3.
NO -
Go to Sound Quality Diagnosis Audio System Sound Quality Diagnosis or No sound is heard from the speaker(s) (display is normal) troubleshooting No Sound Is Heard From The Speaker(s) (Display Is Normal) (With Navigation).
3. Check for the hard error code.
Are there any navigation DTCs indicated?
YES -
Troubleshoot the indicated navigation DTC(s).
NO -
Substitute a known-good audio-navigation unit (including the HDD) Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation.
