Shift Interlock Switch: Testing and Inspection

Park Pin Switch Test

1. Remove the center lower console Dashboard Center Lower Console Removal/Installation.

2. Disconnect the shift lever 12P connector (A).






3. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.





4. If the continuity is not as specified, check the shift cable adjustment:

- 6-speed A/T model Shift Cable Adjustment (6-Speed A/T)
- 5-speed A/T model Shift Cable Adjustment (5-Speed A/T)

If the cable adjustment is OK, replace the park pin switch:

- 6-speed A/T model Park Pin Switch Replacement (6-Speed A/T)
- 5-speed A/T model Park Pin Switch Replacement (5-Speed A/T)
