Tire Pressure Monitor Receiver / Transponder: Service and Repair




TPMS Initiator Replacement

NOTE: Make sure the initiator mounting bracket is not bent or twisted as this may affect its communication with the TPMS control unit and the tire pressure sensor.

Front

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

2. Raise and support the vehicle Service and Repair.

3. Remove the front wheel.

4. Remove the front inner fender Front Inner Fender Replacement.

5. Disconnect the initiator 3P connector (A).





6. Remove the initiator (B) from the inner side of the wheel well.

7. Install the new initiator in the reverse order of removal.

Rear

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

2. Raise and support the vehicle Service and Repair.

3. Remove the rear wheel.

4. Remove the rear inner fender Service and Repair.

5. Disconnect the initiator 3P connector (A).





6. Remove the initiator (B) from the inner side of the wheel well.

7. Install the new initiator in the reverse order of removal.
