Vacuum Switch: Testing and Inspection

1.Disconnect harness connector from switch.
2. Connect a suitable vacuum pump to switch nipple, apply vacuum to switch, then check for continuity between switch terminals.
3. Continuity should exist when vacuum of 10.2 inches Hg or greater is applied to switch, and should not exist when vacuum drops below 8.7 inches Hg.
4. If operation is not as specified, replace switch.
