FIRM RIDE QUALITY

DESCRIPTION:

Beginning with August 7, 1995 production, the damping rates of Accent front struts and rear shock absorbers have been changed to provide a less firm ride quality. When replacing shocks or struts, the new part numbers must be installed as an axle set. Do not intermix new and previous part number components at either the front or rear of the vehicle.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

For Accents produced prior to August 7, 1995, replacing both rear shock absorbers with new part number components may satisfy customers who desire a somewhat less firm ride. In some cases, it may also be necessary to replace the front struts with new part number components to satisfy an individual customer's desire for a less firm ride.
