Service Procedure: Overview

1. Remove the four 10 mm bolts securing the lower shroud cover (below steering column) to the crash pad. The two upper bolts are covered by trim cover plugs.

2. Remove the lower shroud cover.

3. Remove the two screws securing the lower steering column shroud.

4. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.

5. Disconnect connector M10-1.

6. Disconnect the tie-wrap securing the column harnesses to the crash pad support.

7. Unwrap the electrical tape securing the column harnesses together.

8. Out the white tie wrap securing the column harnesses to the multifunction switch main body.

9. Unscrew the two black screws securing the headlamp switch assembly to the multifunction switch main body.

10. Unscrew the three screws securing the multifunction switch main body to the steering column bracket.

11. Remove the headlamp switch assembly. The pigtail harness leading to the headlamp switch is routed in between the multifunction switch main body and the steering column bracket, and must be carefully removed from this area.
