Engine - Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection
Coolant Temperature Sensor1. Heat the sensor bt submerging it in hot engine coolant.
2. Check that the resistance is within the specified range.
Resistance:
20° C (68° F) : 2.31 - 2.59 kg
REASSAEMBLY
1. Check that the flange of the thermostat is correctly seated in the socket of the thermostat housing.
2. Install a new gasket and the coolant inlet fitting.
3. Refill the system with clean coolant.
Tighting Torque
Coolant Temperature Sensor:
20 - 40 Nm (200 - 400 kg.cm, 15 - 30 lb.ft)
