SERVICE TIP:
A new thermistor is available for Santa Fe, Sonata and XG. See the table below for part numbers and system applications (manually controlled or full automatic temperature control system).
The location of the thermistor has also been changed. The new location is in the upper corner, toward the rear of the vehicle.
The new location and new part increase the thermal sensitivity of the system to prevent freezing of the evaporator core. The thermistor MUST be installed in the fins of the evaporator, and on the air outlet (cold air) side of the evaporator.
