INITIALIZATION SHOP MANUAL CORRECTION
DESCRIPTION:
The 2003 Tiburon shop manual contains incorrect instructions for initializing the sunroof controller on page BD-24. The correct procedure follows. Please write this TSB number on page BD-24 of the 2003 Tiburon Shop Manual for future reference.
SUNROOF CONTROLLER INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE:
1. Fully close the sunroof if it is open.
2. Turn the ignition key to the "Lock" position.
3. First, press and hold the sunroof "OPEN" and "UP" buttons, then turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
4. When the controller completes the initialization, you will hear a relay click (early production vehicles will cycle the sunroof open then closed or tilt up then down).
NOTE:
The sunroof controller must be initialized after the following actions:
a. The sunroof motor was replaced.
b. The sunroof controller was replaced.
c. The sunroof was manually adjusted.
d. If the sunroof does not operate after the battery has been disconnected.
