All Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) harnesses and connectors are covered with yellow outer insulation and related components are located in the steering column, center console, instrument panel, upper radiator core support and at the front fenders. Do not use electrical equipment on these circuits, as accidental deployment or personal injury may result.
1. On models with airbag, disable air bag, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems)/Service and Repair.
2. Remove steering wheel, refer to Steering and Suspension/Steering Wheel/Steering/Service and Repair.
3. Connect a suitable ohmmeter and check continuity between wiper switch terminals as shown in Fig. 12.
