Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

1. Discharge and recover A/C system refrigerant.
2. Remove glove compartment assembly as described under BLOWER MOTOR.
3. Loosen intake unit attaching bolts to gain access to cooling unit.
4. Remove cooling unit refrigerant lines and plug all opening to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering.
5. Disconnect vacuum lines, control cable and electrical connectors.
6. Remove cooling unit attaching bolts, then remove.
7. Separate cooling unit halves.
8. Disconnect evaporator core attaching lines, then remove.
9. Reverse procedure to install. Evacuate and recharge A/C system.
