Throttle Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Throttle Position Sensor Test:





1. Disconnect throttle position sensor harness connector.
2. Make sure that resistance between terminals B and C changes when opening throttle valve manually.

Accelerator pedal conditions Resistance
Completely released Approximately 1.7k Ohms
While moving (smoothly) 1 - 10.5k Ohms
Completely depressed Approximately 10.5k Ohms

If Not Good, replace throttle position sensor. Refer to service and repair. Service and Repair
