Coolant: Service Precautions
Precautions for Draining CoolantCAUTION: Drain coolant when engine is cooled.
WARNING: To avoid being scalded, never change the coolant when the engine is hot.
Wrap a thick cloth around cap and carefully remove the cap. First, turn the cap a quarter of a turn to release built-up pressure. Then turn the cap all the way.
CAUTION: Do not open the radiator cap while changing engine coolant. Fill the radiator only from the filler cap above the radiator upper hose with radiator cap closed.
