Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove horn pad attaching bolts, then the horn pad, disconnecting electrical connector.
3. Remove steering wheel retaining bolt and washer.
4. Using puller tool J-29752 or equivalent, remove steering wheel assembly.
5. Remove turn signal switch retaining screws, then the turn signal switch.
6. Remove ignition switch cover.
7. Remove steering shaft retaining ring, then the washer and spring assembly.
8. Remove ignition switch retaining bolts and the ignition switch.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
