Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.
2. Remove bracket, hanger, pressure regulator, oil separator and VSV (A/C equipped models) from lefthand side of intake manifold.
3. Remove throttle valve attaching bolts, then throttle body.
4. Disconnect engine harness and position aside.
5. Remove idle air control valve attaching bolts, then idle air control valve.
6. Remove relief valve and MAP sensor from intake manifold.
7. Remove backpressure transducer, EGR valve and adapter from intake manifold.
8. Remove fuel injector assembly attaching bolt, then fuel injector assembly.
9. Remove intake manifold attaching bolts, then intake manifold and gasket.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
