Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

Disconnect the battery earth lead.

Disconnect the air temperature sensor lead from the sensor (1) (left hand only).

Unclip the air cleaner element cover and displace the cover from the element (2).

Remove the element (3) and the cover. Disconnect the crankcase breather pipe and auxiliary air valve pipes (left hand cleaner only) (4) from the air cleaner.

Remove the four bolts securing the air cleaner to the throttle butterfly housing (5) and remove the air cleaner.

Remove the air temperature sensor.

On refutting, ensure all mating surfaces are clean and smeared with arbrosil sealant.
