Fuel Filter: Description and Operation

Fuel Filter:

Fuel filter is located in trunk behind spare tire. It is designed to filter out dirt particles from fuel system and is located in fuel delivery line between fuel pump and injectors.

Filter has a metal case to withstand high pressure, a paper filter element and a strainer. The fuel filter is fuel flow sensitive and must be installed correctly. Filter has arrow on side indicating fuel flow direction. Fuel filter must be replaced as a unit, at service intervals recommended by Jaguar.
