Air Diverter Valve: Service and Repair
DIVERTER VALVERENEW
Remove the RH air cleaner and element.
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the diverter valve stub pipe (1).
Remove the two bolts, nuts and spring washers securing the diverter valve (2).
Release the air rail pipe from the diverter valve. (3)
Remove the valve.
Remove and discard the diverter valve gasket (5).
Remove and discard the air rail pipe sealing ring (6).
Remove the air rail pipe to diverter valve union, remove and discard the sealing ring (7).
Fit new sealing rings to the valve union, fit the union to the air rail and valve.
Fit a new gasket to the valve, fit the valve to position.
Fit and tighten the securing bolts.
Reconnect the vacuum hose.
Refit the air cleaner and element.
