Thermo Time Switch: Service and Repair
THERMOTIME SWITCHRENEW
NOTE: This procedure MUST ONLY be carried out on a cold or cool engine.
Disconnect battery earth lead.
Pull electrical connector from thermotime switch.
Carefully remove and refit pressure cap from remote header tank to release any cooling system residual pressure.
Ensure that a new sealing washer is located on the replacement unit and the threads are coated with suitable sealing compound.
Remove thermotime switch from the thermostat housing.
Fit replacement thermotime switch.
Check coolant level at remote header tank, top up if necessary.
