Climate Control Assembly

Removal

Vehicles with automatic transaxle







1. Remove the J-gate surround.

NOTE: To aid removal of the climate control assembly place the J-gate selector in the neutral position.

Vehicles with manual transaxle







1. Detach the gear selector surround.

All vehicles
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Remove the ashtray retaining screws.







3. Remove the ashtray.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.







4. Remove the climate control assembly mounting bracket upper retaining screws cover.







5. Remove the climate control assembly mounting bracket upper retaining screws.







6. Remove the climate control assembly mounting bracket lower retaining screws.







7. Disconnect the hazard lamp switch assembly electrical connectors.







8. Remove the hazard lamp switch assembly.
- Remove the retaining screws.







9. Disconnect the climate control assembly electrical connectors.







10. Remove the climate control assembly retaining screws.







11. Remove the climate control assembly.
1. Remove the retaining screws.
2. Remove the climate control assembly.

Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Make sure the climate control assembly is correctly located into the audio unit.
