The attached contains the Engine Build Date Code configuration for 1988 engines.

FIGURE 1:

The Build Date code is located on a machined surface on the right side of the cylinder block between the No. 3 and 4 cylinder on 2.46L engine and between the No. 2 and 3 cylinder on the 4.2L and 4.0L engines. The Build Date Code for the 5.9L engine is located on a plate attached to the right bank cylinder head cover. Figure 1
