Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Description and Operation

Evaporator temperature is controlled through the regulation of refrigerant system pressure. The Low Pressure Cycling Clutch Switch contacts open and close, causing the PCM to turn the A/C compressor clutch On and Off. This regulates the refrigerant system pressure.

The Low Pressure Cycling Clutch Switch is located on the accumulator.
