REMOVAL

WATER PUMP
1. Drain the engine coolant.

WARNING:
System is under high pressure when the engine is hot. To avoid danger of releasing scalding engine coolant, remove the cap only when the engine is cool.

2. Remove drive belt(A).




3. Remove the timing belt.
4. Remove the water pump(A) and gasket(B).





INSTALLATION

WATER PUMP
1. Install the water pump(A) and a new gasket(B) with the bolts.

Tightening torque
14.7 - 21.6Nm (1.5 - 2.2kgf.m, 10.8 - 15.9lb-ft)






NOTE:
Clean the contacting face before assembling.

2. Install the drive belt(A).




3. Install the engine support bracket

6 - 7kgf.m
58.8 - 68.6 Nm (6.0 - 7.0 kgf.m, 43.4 - 50.6Ib-ft)






NOTE:
After the removal, engine coolant can bo drained a little from that point(B) which is a matter of on importance.

CAUTION:
- Over-torque can damage thread of cylinder block.
- Be care the difference of upper 2 bolts and lower 1 bolt length.

4. Install drive belt(A).




5. Fill with engine coolant.
6. Start engine and check for leaks.
7. Recheck engine coolant level.
