Shift Solenoid: Service and Repair
SHIFT SOLENOID REPLACEMENTNOTE: This procedure has been updated as per Land Rover Technical Bulletin 44/02/06/NAS
1. Refer to the REPLACE VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY Service and Repair and complete Steps 1-6 to remove the valve body assembly.
2. Disconnect the solenoid electrical connector.
3. Undo the bolt.
4. Remove the solenoid.
5. Remove and discard the sealing ring.
6. Install a new sealing ring.
7. Install the new solenoid and tighten the bolt to 8 Nm (6 ft. lbs.).
8. Connect the solenoid electrical connector.
9. Refer to the REPLACE VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY Service and Repair
and complete Steps 8-16 to install the valve body assembly.
