86.53.60 Tuner - Traffic Message Channel (TMC) From 05MY

If the TMC is to be replaced then Testbook/T4 must be connected and correct procedures adhered to, prior to battery disconnection.

Remove
1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
2. Remove access panel from load space LH trim casing.





3. Disconnect 2 multiplugs and fibre optic connector from traffic message channel tuner (TMC).

CAUTION: Cover fibre optic cable connectors to minimize dust ingress. Avoid bending the cables in a radius of less than 30 mm.

4. Remove 2 nuts securing TMC to bracket and remove TMC.

Refit
1. Fit TMC to bracket, fit nuts and tighten to 10 Nm (7 lbf.ft).
2. Connect multiplugs and fibre optic cable to TMC.
3. Fit access panel.
4. Initiate a new component using TestBook/T4.
