Front Bumper: Service and Repair
REPLACEMENTHINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE
a. Remove the 3 bolts and radiator grille.
2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH
a. Remove the 5 screws and partially remove the front fender liner.
HINT: It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the bumper cover can be removed in step (4).
3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
a. Remove the 6 screws and 4 clips.
b. Apply protective tape under the front fender.
c. Detach the claws and remove the cover.
d. Disconnect the fog lamp connectors.
e. Disconnect the front marker lamp lens connectors.
f. Disconnect the washer hose.
5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER MOULDING
a. Detach the claws and remove the moulding.
6. REMOVE HEADLAMP WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the clamp.
b. Using a screwdriver, pull out the washer nozzle.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
c. Remove the 2 clips, bolt and headlamp washer actuator.
7. REMOVE HEADLAMP WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
8. REMOVE FOG LAMP UNIT LH
9. REMOVE FOG LAMP UNIT RH
10. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the claws and remove the hole cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
12. REMOVE FRONT MARKER LAMP LENS LH
13. REMOVE FRONT MARKER LAMP LENS RH
14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET
a. Remove the 2 bolts and mounting bracket.
15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER
