Seat Temperature Element: Testing and Inspection

1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY







a. Disconnect the 3 connectors.
b. Inspect the seat heater control.
If the value is not as specified, replace the seat heater control.
c. Connect the 3 connectors.




d. Inspect the seat heater control.
If the value is not as specified, replace the seat heater control.







2. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH
a. Inspect the seat heater switch continuity.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.







b. Inspect the seat heater switch resistance.
If the resistance value is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.







3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT BACK HEATER ASSEMBLY
a. Inspect the seatback heater assembly LH and RH continuity.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the front seatback cover assembly.







4. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY
a. Inspect the seat cushion heater assembly LH and RH continuity.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion cover assembly.







b. Inspect the seat cushion thermostat continuity.
1. Disconnect the seatback heater from the seat cushion heater.
2. Heat the thermostat with a light.
3. inspect the seat cushion heater continuity between terminals, as shown.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion cover assembly.







5. INSPECT SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the 3 connectors.
b. Inspect the seat heater control.
If the value is not as specified, replace the seat heater control.
