DTC CHECK/CLEAR

1. DTC CHECK

a. Check the DTCs
1. Prepare the hand-held tester.
2. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3 at the lower part of the instrument panel.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and turn the hand-held tester on.
4. Use the hand-held tester to check the DTCs and the freeze frame data, and note or print the result (see the operator's manual for operating instructions).
5. See Trouble Code Descriptions to confirm the details of the DTCs.

2. DTC CLEAR

b. Clear the DTCs
1. The following procedures clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.
- When using the hand-held tester:
See the operator's manual for instructions to clear the DTCs.

HINT: Disconnecting the battery negative terminal cable will clear DTCs.
