2UR-GSE BATTERY / CHARGING: GENERATOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal
3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal
4. REMOVE FRONT WHEELS
5. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
6. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
7. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
8. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal
9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
11. SEPARATE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY Removal
12. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal
13. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS





(a) Remove the bolt, and disconnect the clamp and ground cable.
14. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR
(a) Remove the front stabilizer bar Removal.
15. REMOVE GENERATOR





(a) Remove nut A, and disconnect the harness from the +B terminal.
(b) Remove bolt B, and disconnect the oil cooler tube.
(c) Remove clamp C.
(d) Disconnect generator connector D.





(e) Remove the nut and wire harness bracket.





(f) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.





(g) Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and generator.
