XB82 - Check Continuity of A/C Circuits



- Key "OFF".

- A/C clutch disconnected.

- Variable Control Relay Module (VCRM) disconnected.

- Measure resistance between Pin 14 of the VCRM vehicle harness connector and the power-to-A/C clutch circuit at the A/C clutch vehicle harness connector.

- Measure resistance between Pin 13 of the VCRM vehicle harness connector and the A/C clutch ground circuit at the A/C clutch vehicle harness connector.

- Measure resistance between Pin 15 of the VCRM vehicle harness connector and the battery negative post.

- Are all resistances less than 5.0 ohms?

Yes -- Go to XB83. XB83 - Check Continuity of A/C Clutch

No -- Service open in applicable circuit. Reconnect all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

A/C "OFF", defroster "OFF". Start engine, wait 15 seconds. Key "OFF". Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
