Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support front of vehicle and remove front wheel.
2. Disconnect stabilizer bar from suspension arm, Fig. 4.
3. Remove splash shield, then the stabilizer bushing bolts, bushing, bracket and stabilizer bar.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Align rubber bushing with white reference line on stabilizer bar and install with notch facing rearward.
b. Mount upper end of stabilizer bar first and tighten it temporarily, then mount lower end to suspension arm.
c. Tighten stabilizer bar to suspension arm attaching nut so thread protrusion ensures 1 inch (25.5 mm).
