Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Mechanical: Adjustments

1. Switch off all accessories and position transmission shift lever to neutral.
2. Disconnect and plug idle compensator line at air cleaner and vacuum hose at distributor.
3. Connect a tachometer to the engine, and run engine until normal operating temperature is reached.
4. Disconnect electrical connector from air conditioner solenoid valve. Connect battery voltage to one terminal on electrical connector and ground the other.
5. Ensure throttle opener operates and engine speed increases to approximately 1200 RPM.
6. If engine speed is not within specified limit, turn throttle opener adjusting nut, until correct RPM is attained.
