Valve Signal

1. Operate engine until normal operating temperature is obtained.
2. Connect a suitable tachometer to the engine.
3. Connect a voltmeter to shutter solenoid valve electrical connector terminal (LgY).
4. Disconnect electrical connectors (BY & GB). On vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions, position selector lever to "P" park or "N" neutral positions.
5. Start engine and ensure current flows to terminals at idle speed.
6. Disconnect electrical connector from throttle sensor and ensure current does not flow to terminal at idle.
7. On vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions, shift selector lever to "D" drive position. Connect electrical connector (BY & GB), ensure current flows to terminal at idle.
8. On vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions, shift selector lever to "P" park or "N" neutral positions, and ensure current flows at any engine speed.
