Pick-Up Coil: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 1 Disassembled view of breakerless type distributor.:

1. Connect an ohmmeter to the pick-up coil Fig. 1.
2. Measure the resistance (900-1,200 ohms).
3. If not within specification, replace it.
