Fig. 10 Disconnect vacuum sensing tube.:

1. Start and operate engine until normal operating temperature is obtained.
2. Connect a tachometer onto engine as per manufacturer's instructions.
3. Disconnect vacuum sensing tube from vacuum line.
4. Place a finger over vacuum line opening and ensure air is not sucked into line Fig. 10.
5. Gradually increase engine speed and ensure air is sucked into line when engine speed reaches 1000-1200 RPM.
6. Increase engine speed to 4000 RPM, then quickly decrease engine speed. Ensure air is not sucked into line while decelerating.
7. With engine idling, switch A/C switch ON. Ensure air is sucked into line.
