Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Testing and Inspection

1. Remove air cleaner upper cover assembly.
2. Heat intake air thermo sensor and observe temperature.
3. Check resistance between terminals E2 and THA, Fig. 91. There should be 10,000-20,000 ohms at - 4°F, 2000-3000 ohms at 68°H and 400-700 ohms at 140°F.
4. If resistance is not as described, replace air flow meter assembly.
5. If resistance is as described, check wiring harnesses.
