Removal and Replacement

A/C UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION[L3 WITH TC]
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Discharge the refrigerant from the system. (See REFRIGERANT RECOVERY.) (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING[L3 WITH TC].)
3. Drain the engine coolant.
4. Remove the following parts.
1. Glove compartment
2. Console
3. Meter hood
4. Instrument cluster
5. Column cover
6. Lower panel
7. Steering shaft
8. A-pillar trim
9. Front scuff plate
10. Front side trim
11. Side panel

5. Remove the dashboard.










6. Remove in the order indicated in the table. Do not allow compressor oil to spill.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
8. Perform the refrigerant system performance test. (See REFRIGERANT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TEST[L3 WITH TC].)

A/C Unit Installation Note
1. When installing a new A/C unit or evaporator, add a supplemental amount of ATMOS GU1O compressor oil into the refrigerant cycle.

Supplemental amount (approx. quantity) : 25 ml {25 cc, 0.8 fl.oz}
