Idle Speed: Testing and Inspection
Idle Speed InspectionNote:
^ Idle rotation cannot be adjusted.
1. Warm up the engine.
(1) Turn off all electrical loads.
(2) Increase the engine speed to 2,500 - 3,000 rpm until the cooling fan starts running.
(3) When the cooling fan starts running, release the accelerator pedal and wait until the cooling fan stops running.
2. Connect the SST (M-MDS) to the DLC-2.
3. Verify that the engine speed (M-MDS: RPM) is as follows using the PID/data monitor function of the SST (M-MDS) as follows:

No load
650 - 750
Idle-up speed (rpm)
Electrical load on *1
650 - 750
P/S operation
650 - 750
A/C operation (medium-pressure switch off)
700 - 800
A/C operation (medium-pressure switch on)
725 - 825
*1 : When the following electrical loads are on: Headlights, rear defroster, cooling fan No.1, cooling fan No.2, and the blower motor (2-step or more.)
