Radiator: Service and Repair

RADIATOR REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 4.0L

1. Drain the cooling system. See - Removal and Replacement.






1. Disconnect the radiator overflow hose or radiator vent hose.

2. Remove the cooling fan shroud. See - Service and Repair.






1. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator.






1. Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the radiator.

NOTE:To avoid disturbing the transmission oil cooler fittings, use a backup wrench.If equipped, disconnect the two transmission cooler lines.






1. Remove the bolts and tilt the radiator back and lift directly upward.

2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
