DESCRIPTION

Some customers may complain that the liftgate does not open properly (stops in a slightly raised position) or does not close properly from its slightly raised position.

When the liftgate is unlocked by pressing the electric liftgate opener button (A), the liftgate raises slightly to allow it to be opened. If the liftgate is not opened immediately after the electric liftgate opener button is pressed, the liftgate will re-lock and stay in the slightly raised position.





To Open

In order to fully open the liftgate from the slightly raised position, press the electric liftgate opener button again.

The liftgate latch stays unlocked only for approximately 1.5 seconds after a unlock sound is heard. The liftgate must be opened within 1.5 seconds or the latch will re-lock.

To Close

In order to close the liftgate from its slightly raised position, open it first by pressing the electric liftgate opener button and wait for 1 second or longer before closing the liftgate.

If the liftgate is not opened within 1.5 seconds after the electric liftgate opener button is pressed, the liftgate will re-lock and stay in the slightly raised position. Press the electric liftgate opener button again to fully open the lift- gate, then close it.

NOTE:
The liftgate opener button will only operate if the liftgate is unlocked.
